Sign our petition to call on Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem to cease their wrongful abductions and return Andry, Kilmar and others like them safely and immediately — and to afford all Americans, asylum seekers and foreign nationals residing in the United States their rights as required by the U.S. Constitution. Andry, who is being represented by the Immigrant Defenders Law Center, has no criminal record and is legally seeking asylum in the United States due to credible threats of violence against him in Venezuela because of his sexual orientation and political beliefs. His kidnapping and imprisonment is a wound against the entire community. The Trump Administration mistakenly deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia and he is being imprisoned in the same notorious mega-prison as Andry in El Salvador. The Administration is defying court orders to facilitate the return of Kilmar to the United States. Take action with the Human Rights Campaign, because Rubio and Noem need to hear from all of us: Freedom and justice for Andry José Hernández Romero, Kilmar Abrego Garcia and others like them, NOW.

The U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) is under unprecedented threat, as is the humanitarian infrastructure serving forcibly displaced people worldwide and here in the U.S. The indefinite refugee ban remains in place, blocking funding for resettlement agencies and stranding thousands of refugees without basic support. Resettlement offices around the country are struggling to stay open and serve vulnerable individuals who have already been resettled, relying on crucial Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) integration programs that still exist — for now — to do so. Overseas, steep cuts to humanitarian aid have placed already-vulnerable refugees in even greater insecurity and danger. You can make a difference today. Members of Congress have begun negotiating a government spending bill for Fiscal Year 2026, which could decide the fate of many critical ORR programs and investments in overseas refugee support and processing. Congressman Juan Vargas (D-CA) and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) are leading joint letters urging robust investments in key refugee programs to maintain support for displaced people and allow agencies like Church World Service to continue providing life-saving services to refugees, Afghan Special Immigrant Visas, asylees, humanitarian parolees, and others.

In 2012, young immigrants won Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which consequently opened the doors for hundreds of thousands of their peers to build authentic lives, pursue careers, and give back to their communities across the United States. It was a monumental victory that has truly transformed people’s lives for the better. However, DACA’s protections were never designed to be permanent. To this day, DACA recipients and their loved ones continue to live in uncertainty, their future at the mercy of ever-changing political tides and court rulings. This can’t continue. Congress must act now and pass a permanent legislative solution. Please help us urge Congress to do everything in their power to pass a pathway to citizenship now >>>
